We’ve spent years chasing great coffee wherever the road takes us - surf towns, desert highways, mountain trails. Along the way, one idea kept buzzing in our heads: What if we created a coffee that captured the essence of those travels and combined our passions?
Introducing Baja Bug Coffee
Baja Bug Coffee was born. The idea? What if we could bring coffee from Mexico together with the craft roasting culture of California, capturing the essence of the Baja Bug and Surf lifestyle?
"The Drino"
When we discovered a California coffee roaster working directly with small-scale farmers in Mexico, everything clicked. The result? Our first single-origin coffee – “The Drino” – in tribute to Baja Bug inventor and Baja 1000 winner Drino Miller, and made for those who crave the ride as much as the roast.
"The Johnny Montana"
Our second coffee was inspired by something closer to home – my long-time road trip buddy, Johnny Montana. Johnny’s the kind of guy who shows up in his coveralls when he knows you need help working on your project car or need a co-pilot for a road trip. Always chill, always easygoing, building the coolest rides and with a very cool name… introducing “The Johnny Montana” – a blend of Medium & Dark Roast coffee, with a smooth, mellow flavour – a tribute to great friends everywhere.
