Built tough enough for beach trips yet refined enough for your kitchen, each mug is a little piece of surf history — a nod to the days when life was simpler, and everything revolved around waves, wax, and wanderlust.
If you’re tired of mugs that just hold coffee, buying this one’s a decision you won’t regret. It holds stories, too.
Bilbo Surfboards was founded by Bob Head, Bill Bailey, Doug Wilson and Freddy Blight in 1965 in Newquay, Cornwall, England by combining Bill and Bob’s first names. Bill Bailey was considered the “Father of British Surfing”, who started shaping boards after being inspired by an American visitor’s board. Bilbo dominated the UK market until the early 1970s, producing around 12,000 boards in the first eight years.
